I broke a tooth, got infected, and also wanted quick oral virus protection with a .5% or 1% oral Iodine, to quickly help me out. No muss, no fuss, no dilution needed, no mixing, just open, rinse, and/or gargle and viral or bacterial infections are "knocked-out" within seconds, 30" as advised by "some in the know". That's what I did. It taste fine to me, and did the job. I'm glad to have it standing by for convenience. In the meantime, I learned how inexpensive and easy it is to dilute your own from 10% Povidone Iodine (P.I.), 1 part 10% P.I. + 9 parts water = 1% P.I. 1 part 10% P.I +19 parts water = .5%. Now that's "easy breezy", and will save a lot of money over time! Plus this .5% mixture can easily be swabbed into the nose with a Q-tip for greater viral protection, I would not use or advise what I purchased for the nose because of the menthol, it might be too strong for those delicate nasal tissues.
